GUIDE TO FREE MENTAL HEALTH LINES (UK)

Mental health issues are unfortunately rising and it’s not an exaggeration to say they are reaching epidemic levels.  We all probably know someone suffering with anxiety, eating disorders, panic attacks, depression and a range of other psychological and emotional disorders – or indeed are suffering ourselves.

There are many helplines that exist to help individuals address these issues.  Due to the sheer volume of organisations, those seeking help could become confused.  Studies show that when you are faced with too many options, you are likely to take no action at all. The link to the article (see below) helps to address this problem as it lists numerous free helplines and outlines exactly what each one does.

After you have read this guide, you will be in a better position when deciding which particular helpline(s) to reach out to. Free helplines provide you with someone to talk to when you are going through a crisis or when you just need somebody to talk through your options.  Many of these helplines are available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
