“A scientific worldview which does not profoundly come to terms with the problem of conscious minds can have no serious pretensions of completeness. Conciousness is part of our universe, so any physical theory which makes no proper place for it falls fundamentally short of providing a genuine description of the world.”
Sir Roger Penrose (1931 – present)
This section of the site will present research not only relevant to our work, offering some of the scientific underpinning for our philosophy and approach, it will also offer research relevant to the whole area of mind-body-spirit and environment.
What we want to show in this section is that there is enough research and information to support not only our claims but to encourage us all to move closer to an integrated way of thinking and living. Until we realise that no one area of our lives can stand alone and that we are interdependent beings, we continue to run the risk of chasing our tails, never ever finding a solution for our deficiencies and dysfunctions.
There will be research data from areas such as: environmental medicine, diet and nutrition, neuroscience, PNI, complementary/alternative health, counselling and psychotherapy and quantum physics, to name a few, all of which we believe will help you see the bigger picture…
Did You Know?…
We are made up of food, water, air and light. These are the four major considerations if we are to give our bodies the best chance of delivering their potential. Without these four vital components in their purest form it is difficult to be mentally and spiritually healthy.
As you browse through the material on this site, you will discover our premise is that well-being needs to be addressed by focusing equally on mind, body, spirit and environment (see: The Story of Health). Only then can you conquer your fears, beat your addictions and overcome your anxiety, anger, depression or whatever it is that ails you.
Well-being is like a table with 4 legs – no one leg is more important than another. Can the table do its job properly if one leg is completely removed or if the legs are different sizes/lengths? Of course the answers to these questions are obvious. So, why do we not pay proper attention to all 4 aspects? Until we do, well-being and health will remain elusive or at best transitory states.
Although we stand confidently behind the knowledge presented on the following pages the information put forward in this section is not meant in any way to be a substitute for following medical advice or any course of treatment you may be pursuing. We would always advise you to consult your doctor or medical/health practitioner before embarking on any alternative/complementary treatments. Having said this, much of what is documented here we believe would only serve to support you on your journey towards optimum health.
