ALISON CLAMP

Alison is a very warm, relaxed and friendly holistic practitioner.  She is highly skilled and very knowledgeable in a number of disciplines.  Alison has an excellent reputation and we are happy to endorse her and the quality of her work, having experienced it first hand and also because of the quantity of positive feedback we’ve received about her over the years.

So if you have a nagging problem that seems to be resisting treatment, you may find that her in–depth knowledge in numerous healing modalities is a valuable place to start.  Equally you may be pursuing prevention rather than cure and so are keen to maintain your good health with regular self-care.   Either way, we believe Alison is a first class choice.

Here’s what Alison has to say…

I have been a complementary therapist since 1998 following a career in laboratories.  Before becoming a holistic therapist I worked as a laboratory technician and environmental manager.  I have an Open University Degree in Maths, Physics and Environment and a Masters in Environmental Management.

During the period of my study I suffered a series of back problems and a local osteopath, Stephen Ling, was recommended to me.  His whole approach to health changed my thinking.  I became interested in aromatherapy and the healing nature of oils – how these natural products without harsh chemicals have an incredible ability to address numerous physical and emotional ailments.  I eventually studied for a Diploma in Aromatherapy but still at this stage was only looking at it as a hobby.

However during the course I became pregnant and met other holistic therapists and decided to take the plunge and leave my full time job and start my own business.  During my maternity leave I took diplomas in Indian Head Massage and Reflexology and started work at the Erdington Osteopaths clinic.

During my second career I developed my practice and have studied other therapies and can now offer: Reiki, Hopi Ear Candling, Bowen Technique, Thai Foot Massage, Hot Stones Therapy, Nutrition and Fire Cupping.

My main specialism is the Bowen Technique, which I have practiced since 2003. The Bowen Technique is a wonderfully gentle holistic therapy, which is highly effective at helping with physical and emotional conditions.

In summary I am qualified as a holistic therapist and tutor in the following:
