REBECCA LOW

Rebecca has been part of the Reach family for many years and during that time has participated in many of our personal development workshops and groups. During her long association with Reach, we have watched her grow and develop through her 20s, 30s and 40s into a kind, compassionate human and an excellent and highly skilled therapist.  She has successfully completed numerous counselling training courses, before undertaking our Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Holistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, in which she excelled.   We are excited to welcome her as an associate of Reach.

Rebecca is warm, caring, intelligent and conscientious.  When undertaking any task she always gives 100% and does not waver in the face of challenge and difficulty.  So, you can be sure she will be a loyal advocate and ally on your journey of self-examination and personal growth.

We unreservedly commend her to those who are looking for someone who has been there themselves and can speak from both theoretical understanding and their own challenging experience.

Here’s what Rebecca has to say….

Hi, my name is Rebecca, and I am honoured to be an associate of Reach.  If you are interested in what I have to say, I look forward to the possibility of  helping you on your journey of self-discovery in order that you can resolve your issues and reach your full potential.

One of the many reasons that the Reach philosophy and methodology are so close to my heart is because above and beyond any qualifications I have attained, I have spent many years facing and embracing my own pain, shame, and challenge… overcoming my struggles with my own physical and mental health.  Undertaking the Reach journey as a client, I have walked my own path through dark times, and finally found my meaning and purpose.  For this reason, I am so happy and grateful to be able to offer the same to others who are struggling in their lives.

From the age of 18, I knew I wanted to work in the field of counselling/psychology because of my desire to help others.  However, it was 20 years later that I found my way back to this path, and I embarked on gaining the relevant qualifications and experience, before training with The Reach Approach and achieving the Postgraduate Certificate in Holistic and Integrative Psychotherapy… finally fulfilling my dream to become a Reach therapist.

My professional journey began working in the field of housing, and this afforded me a wide range of experiences, supporting people across all demographics and walks of life.  I worked with individuals and families and those at risk of homelessness or those already homeless.  During that time, I supported people through a range of traumatic life experiences.

In addition, I have spent many years working on projects and initiatives to support and engage young people; going into schools, delivering workshops, supporting and facilitating community events and working with tenants and residents.  Specifically, I have experience of working with vulnerable adults and children at risk of violence and exploitation and supporting victims of hate crime.

I am also a qualified Psychological Well-being Practitioner (PWP), delivering evidence based, low intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapy interventions, to those suffering with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, general anxiety disorders, specific phobias and mild to moderate OCD.

Through my professional experience, in all its different forms, it has become very clear to me that those individuals who are suffering, have needed an holistic approach to their issues and this was not available.

Taking my own journey of self-discovery with Reach has meant I have first-hand experience that synergy is the way to re-establish health at every level and enjoy a fulfilling life; it is the formula for well-being.

If you are ready to do the work, I am ready to be by your side to help and guide you towards your desired destination.
