ECKHART TOLLE

Eckhart Tolle has had an unusual rise to fame and now with best sellers such as The Power of Now and New Earth is for many considered one of the great spiritual minds of our time. He had no formal education in his early years but did eventually graduate from the University of London.

He had long periods suffering with depression and suicidal thoughts but out of that darkness he is reported to have had an ‘inner transformation’ that has lead him to many of his insights. His study of literature, languages and philosophy have also enriched his teachings. His perspective has been informed and influenced by the Bhagavad Gita, The Vedanta (great Hindu scriptures), Buddha and Lao Tzu, as well as Sufism and more latterly A Course in Miracles. His focus on the ego and its mischievous part in the human story is worthy of closer inspection….

For those interested in taking a closer look at his work, much has been written and is widely available.
