Those of you familiar with our work will know that we have a mind-body-spirit-environment model. We passionately believe that the needs of the human condition are best met by equally addressing these four areas. Any strategy or plan that ignores the interconnectedness of these four aspects will be limited in its ability to restore health and wellbeing.
When looking at the body aspect, then supplements have now become an essential component of nutrition. We simply aren’t able to extract all our nutrients from our food (see The Truth About Supplements). Because we know supplements have now unfortunately become essential we want to ensure that individuals are able to get the best their money can buy because all supplements are not the same. Cytoplan is a market leader and particularly specialises in food state nutrition. This simply means that many of their products have been developed using a food base, which provides the best delivery system for the nutrients to be absorbed by the body. Supplements shouldn’t be taken in an isolated form. They should be married together with their other co-factors, only then do we get the best results. For those of you wanting to know more about food state nutrition, take a closer look at their site (www.cytoplan.co.uk).
We have been using and recommending Cytoplan products for the last decade and have complete confidence in the quality of their products. We also know that the organisation honours the principles of holism and delivers its service with integrity. This is why we’ve established a partnership with Cytoplan that will benefit all the users of our site.
What this means for you is a 10% discount on all of their products when quoting this number - HE10.
This 10% is in addition to any other offers that they may have on at the time (and there are plenty of those throughout the year). It means getting a quality product at a reasonable price. There will be periods of the year with specific products where we’ll be able to increase the discount you’re eligible for. So watch out for those additional offers.
We do recommend their whole range but there are some products we think are worthy of special mention. These include: Biovital, Biovital Plus, Immunovite, Vitamin C Extra, Be Bright, Antioxidant Formula and Flax Oil. Not everyone will need these, however, these particular products do offer good all-round nutritional support, providing the individual with a much better chance of maintaining good health. Where infection or ill health already exists they will ensure a more robust response. We would suggest trying some of these products and seeing for yourself.
You can order either via Cytoplan's website or contact their friendly and helpful staff on Tel: 01684 310099 quoting HE10

Galina St. George has quickly become a very good friend of Reach. We were looking for reliable suppliers of minerals, particularly transdermal magnesium and were recommended to naturalrussia.com. Given the value and quality of their products, we were keen to establish a link. On doing so it became clear that Galina was a woman who is passionate about health and healing and had a considerable knowledge, not only regarding magnesium but the whole family of minerals. It is part of our mission to identify first class practitioners and products to help individuals find their way to optimum health. Galina has proved to be such a find, and we highly recommend her transdermal magnesium, known as Bishofit. As we have tested it and a variety of her other products we would recommend them too. Take a look at her excellent site www.naturalrussia.com. It is a minefield of information. We are sure you won’t be disappointed. Galina is also qualified in a variety of disciplines which include: aromatherapy, indian head massage, manual lymphatic drainage, diet and nutrition, stress management and hypnotherapy.

Birmingham is blessed with a variety of natural/alternative health centres, offering a wide range of healing options. We believe that the Birmingham Holistic Health Centre brings something new. It’s founder, Stuart Morris, is a long-standing holistic practitioner who, over 15 years ago using natural therapies, won his battle with cancer. Ever since he’s been motivated to help heal and empower others. This centre is the culmination of all his ambition and effort to create something different; a centre that offers more than therapies at it focuses on creating a community of well-being, built around practitioners who are truly passionate about what they do and whose integrity and conscience underpin their approach. Stuart is well known to us at Reach and we enthusiastically endorse all his work not just because he’s an experienced and ethical therapist, but because he is a sensitive, caring and authentic human being who strives to give the best of himself in all that he does. It is our experience that those who have a close encounter with death almost always feel richer for that and want to do something more meaningful with their lives and Stuart has done just that. We think this centre offers an opportunity to find resolution and healing and therefore we highly commend it to those looking for natural health solutions. For those of you interested in finding out more, please read what Stuart has to say by clicking here or alternatively go to www.birminghamholistic.co.uk.

Although Reach is largely a Midlands based practice, our influence and reputation is certainly UK wide. We have associates all over the country but we recognise 50 practitioners can in no way meet the national need. However we will continue to give the best account of ourselves. We have developing initiatives in Edinburgh, Cardiff, Plymouth, Cornwall and Bristol. In addition to this, we also have a significant international interest with over 30 countries regularly downloading our materials and a variety of individuals and organisations undertaking distant learning initiatives with us.
Donella Caubo is our lead partner who oversees the London aspects of our work. She has had contact with Reach for over 15 years, beginning initially as a client, who faced enormous challenges in her attempts to find stability and peace of mind. She eventually graduated to become one of our main practitioners, hence her pivotal role. For those of you looking for help in London and the South East, we would highly recommend you make her your first port of call. As with all our practitioners, Donella is appropriately qualified and accredited but more importantly as far as we are concerned she has done the work on herself and continues to walk the path of personal growth. She is a first-class therapist who's honesty, integrity and commitment to others mean she will never give you less than her best. We are proud of the contribution she continues to make to Reach.

Niki is also a talented singer and songwriter and her latest album, Mindscapes, is a joyful, inspirational journey into inner space. Relax Kids takes a unique approach to shaping and positively influencing the young minds of the 21st century. The founder and director, Marneta Veigas, is a good friend of Reach and we can certainly vouch for her passion, sincerity and integrity. She has given her heart and soul to this project and that is reflected in the vast range of resources she has produced. Anyone genuinely interested in teaching children how to make better use of their minds, through the art of relaxation, really needs to take a look at this site! The range of materials is quite staggering…..
This includes an array of relaxation products, CDs and resources for children, parents and teachers. Relax Kids encourages children to take some time out and relax and so develop self-awareness, a feeling of self-worth as well as concentration and creativity.
There are a lots of free resources on the website and an online monthly magazine full of articles and exercises to help parents and teachers. You can sign up to the magazine and receive a free download.

Karen is someone who has understood from the beginning that a practitioner is only ever as good as the work they have done on themselves. And so she has spent many years not simply acquiring the academic credentials necessary to work therapeutically, but she has also undergone her own personal growth process and continues to do so. We believe this is what makes her so effective at what she does. She has, for many years, worked closely with Reach and through her practice (Reflect), done some wonderful work with individuals, couples and groups. Hence we are more than happy to endorse her work……

Barbara Johnson has 13 years experience in therapeutic massage, and gained her diploma in clinical aromatherapy from the Institute of Traditional Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy (ITHMA) in 2005. Aromatherapy can be of great benefit alongside the counselling process, both as support and to help unlock/release emotions. Energetic imbalances in the body, caused by suppressed emotions, can lead to physical symptoms such as aches and pains or digestive upsets, to name a few. Traditional Chinese medical techniques are used to diagnose any imbalances; oils are blended accordingly and administered through a combination of Swedish massage, meridian massage and acupressure.

One life is a registered charity set up to help mainly with the education of the children of Nseleni township in Kwazulu, Natal, South Africa. These children are orphaned through the AIDS Virus and about 75% are born HIV Positive. The Anti Retroviral Drugs are now making a big difference to these children, enhancing and lengthening their lives. Many of these children live with older siblings or aged and sick grandparents or neighbours in broken down shacks. Most shacks or dwellings are without running water, electricity, mattresses, blankets and adequate amounts of food for survival. One Life raises money to try and improve these living conditions and it is very rewarding to see when visiting them the difference this small charity is making to the children and their carers.

We highly recommend, music lovers of all persuasions, to listen to the work of Lucinda Drayton. She is an amazing singer and songwriter. Her latest album, Both Sides, is a compilation of famous songs, which she has beautifully covered with her charming and hypnotic tones. Lucinda has produced a wide array of works with her co-writer Andy Blissett. Their best selling album, A Hundred Thousand Angels, is one of our personal favourites, but the breadth and depth of their work over the last 17 years is quite amazing. We would recommend having a look at their site, www.blissfulmusic.com, where you’ll be able to sample some of their wonderfully crafted music and Lucinda’s incredibly pure voice. Enjoy……

The current environment is awash with a supplement, remedy or potion for just about every complaint and when you combine that with a world of depleting resources you have a heady, confusing mix. On the one hand we’re struggling to get all our needs met through our food because of pollution and countless environmental factors. On the other hand there’s the promise of perfect health if you take one of the numerous remedies on offer. Our view (at Reach) is that there is now too much choice and a plethora of promises being made, serving only to confuse the consumer further. Unless you are highly qualified in physiology, anatomy and nutrition, you are unlikely to know what to reach for. This is why the source from which you extract health products really matters. There are some good distributors of health products out there, such as Cytoplan, Tigon, Higher Nature, Bioforce, Biocare and Good Health Naturally, all specialising in slightly different things and offering excellent products and in the majority of cases, at good prices. We would recommend all of the above.
Alison Sutton is a highly valued associate of Reach. She has quite a unique background and with that a unique set of skills. We would highly endorse not only her counselling/psychotherapeutic work but also her training experience. She is a skilled educator and has put together a number of unique packages, which she has successfully delivered nationwide. Her profile speaks for itself…..

Aspire is a conscience driven practice. We believe therapy should fit the client. We do not subscribe to a ‘one size fits all’, so when a client brings along an issue or any concerns, we travel on that journey with them for as long as is necessary in order to help them find that place of resolution and healing. We adhere to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) code of ethics and continually undertake training and personal development to enhance the effectiveness of our work.
Aspire is headed by Charmaine Watkins-Smith who started her counselling career some 18 years ago whilst working in the public and private sector. During that time she also studied and qualified in welfare work, as a clinical hypnotherapist, critical incident debriefer, trainer and Reach Approach practitioner.
For the last seven years Charmaine has worked in private practice providing a therapeutic service to private, voluntary and national organisations alike. She positively seeks to improve her level of effectiveness through regularly attending training courses and investing in her own personal development work.

We decided to include ‘Ray’s Place’ on this page, for those of you who might want to enjoy a retreat for a modest price in sunny Tenerife. Ray has been well known to Reach for over 10 years. He is a kind and sincere man, with tons of integrity, which is why we are happy to say to anyone looking for a break of this kind that we believe you won’t be disappointed. It is our experience that anyone who genuinely takes a journey of personal growth irreversibly changes and becomes the ‘best they can be’. Ray has taken such a journey and he assures us that this is a special place, where one can create special memories and his word is good enough for us! Take a look and see what you think.

Tenerife is renowned for its all-the-year-round sunshine, volcanic beaches, and bustling bars and night life. Most people will have heard of Playa de Las Americas, Los Cristianos and, perhaps Los Gigantes and Santa Cruz.
However, there’s so much more to Tenerife. There’s Mt.Teide, the hidden village of Masca, lots of quiet, unspoilt villages and resorts, and the distinctive off shore islands of La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro. Europe’s biggest and most spectacular water-park, Siam, is due to open any time now.
Callao Salvaje is located 10 minutes and a world away from the bustling centre of Las Americas on the road to Los Gigantes. It’s a quiet, unspoilt resort with its own distinctive character. Its name translates to wild pebbles after the beautiful secluded cove at the bottom of the hill.
Within the resort itself are 3-4 large hotel/apartment complexes, a couple of dozen bars and restaurants and a full range of shops, cafes and internet cafes. There are a number of marvellous, authentic Tenerifian/Spanish restaurants.
My apartment is at Un Posto Al Sole, a 5 minute walk from the centre of the resort, on a hillside overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Its part of a recently completed complex of 40 – 50 apartments in a number of 2 and 3 storey blocks arranged around a beautifully planted central area containing two heated swimming pools for residents exclusive use. Some of the apartments are occupied by locals, others by people like me who visit regularly and let their apartments out the rest of the time to friends and family.
The apartment has one twin-bedded room and a large sofa bed in the lounge and can therefore comfortably sleep up to 4 people. There’s an American-style kitchen with cooker, hob, fridge and microwave, a DVD player and a beautiful bathroom with walk in shower.
There is a small balcony to the front overlooking the ocean, and a large roof terrace with panoramic views of mountains to the rear and village and ocean to the front. It’s located on the edge of the development and is therefore not overlooked at all.
Buses to Americas and other parts of the island are cheap, regular and fun and Adeje Golf course is only 5 minutes away.
The apartment is available for short or longer term lets at £200 per week (£250 per week during the Christmas period). You should budget about £200 in flights though, if you’re lucky, you may get them for less. Cheap flights.com and Thomas Cook.com are well worth a look. A small car, with air condition and excess waiver can be hired for about £100 per week. Alternatively, I can arrange for you to be picked up and/or taken to the airport or anywhere else you need to go. I have English friends who live in the village and are usually on hand to help if needed.
Callao is a great place if you want peace and quiet and a bit of ‘class’ If you think you’d like to use the apartment please give me a ring or email me;

On The Horizon Introduction
This page will keep you updated on our activities and other forthcoming events that we feel will enrich and add value to your journey. We will also feature other therapists and their work and any other information we believe to be relevant to personal growth....
AS PROMISED!
Due to the repeated requests for the handouts and work sheets to be made available as MP3 audio files, we've now got the first group of 10 recordings ready for downloading. When the next 10 are recorded we will post them on the site and will continue doing so until all of them are done. We'll do our best to get the bulk of them done before the year is out.
These downloads will be a modest 50p each for the majority (each recording lasting approximately 10 minutes). There will be a selected number of handouts which are considerably longer, approximately 15 minutes and in some cases as long as 25 minutes. In these cases the cost for downloads will be £1 or £1.50 each.
