Mantra Mind Thinking

There are several different ways to meditate. Meditation practices often involve creative visualization, focused breathing, or chanting and mantra techniques. Initially, your mind wanders when you first start meditating, but this is to be expected and you should not be troubled by this.

There are numerous ways to stop the mind wandering and with time and some experimentation you will find what works best for you. The beauty of practising meditation is that it allows you to 'let go' of everyday worries and literally 'live in the moment.' People who meditate regularly report improvements physically, mentally, and spiritually. To begin meditation practice, you will need to find a quiet spot, away from the phone, television and other distractions.

Most experts recommend meditating for about 20 to 30 minutes at a time. Beginners may find it difficult to meditate for this length at first, but don't despair. It will become easier once you are meditating regularly. By training your mind to focus on the moment, you will eventually find yourself transformed and feel very peaceful and content.

Whilst listening to this music, we invite you to try a mantra technique, which we refer to as 'mantra mind thinking'. What we mean by this is having one thought, which you repeat, not simply in the chanting format - mantra mind thinking is more mindful than that, as it involves you using that one thought to push away any of the other thoughts that seek to occupy the mind. Whereas with chanting, there is a continual recital of the mantra over and over again, in order to let no other thoughts into the sanctuary of the mind, with mantra mind thinking you recognize other thoughts will come but you gently push them aside with your mantra. Also as you focus on your mantra, you try and embrace its meaning, try and feel your way into the phrase - so you're not simply saying the words, you're being carried to your destination by their meaning.

You can come up with a mantra that particularly moves and inspires you, or enables you to move from where you are to where you want to be, the choice really is yours. The mantra we invite you to try today is, "I Lovingly Let Go".

Let this beautiful mantra resonate in your mind for as long as you are able to sit and focus - you will find it is an antidote for many things. With regular practice your mind will come under your control and you'll be surprised at what wonders you can perform....
